CASPER - At his request, no services will be held for Edwin R. Johnson, Sr., 76, of Casper.
He died Aug. 21, 2007 at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne.
He was born Nov. 14, 1930 in Rock Springs.
He was a plumber and pipefitter. He also was a member of the Plumber and Pipefitter's Union and the Lutheran Church and was a Boy Scout master in Casper.
He enjoyed the wide open spaces of Wyoming.
He is survived by two sons, Edwin Johnson, Jr. of Sinclair and Charles Johnson of Cheyenne; one daughter, Jody Johnson of Glenrock; his ex-wife, Burleen Johnson of Casper; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Norma Crowe of Worland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nester and Alina (Luoma) Johnson; one brother, Charles Mertala and one great-granddaughter.
Friends who wish may contribute to the Physical Therapy and Extended Care Units of the Veteran Administration Hospital in Cheyenne.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
